JEE ADVANCED 2013 (2-June-2013)
QUESTION PAPER DIFFICULTY LEVEL ANALYSIS OF PAPER 1&2
The most prestigious entrance exam of engineering in India, JEE Advanced (Previously known as IIT-JEE) has
been conducted on 2nd June 2013 with paper 1 from 9am – 12pm and paper 2 from 2pm to 5pm across the
nation. Both the papers were bilingual and if we talk about difficulty level, Paper-1 was slightly difficult then

has maintained difficulty level same as last year.
Details of Paper 1
Paper-1 had 60 questions in total - in the order of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject had 20
questions out of which 10 questions were single correct choice type, 5 questions were numeric response type
and 5 questions were multiple choice type questions in each subject. The maximum marks for the paper is 180.
Details of Paper 2
Paper-2 had 60 questions in total - in the order of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each subject had 20
questions out of which 8 questions were paragraph type, 4 questions were matrix type and 8 questions were
multiple correct choice type questions in all three subjects. The maximum marks for the paper is 180.
Over all Subject Wise Analysis
Physics

he put 17 questions out of 20 from class 12 syllabus. All three portions (Physical, Inorganic & Organic) of
Chemistry were asked equally.
