Congratulations Mrs Holt
After many months of hard work, Mrs Holt has gained her Proficient Teacher accreditation. Achieving Proficient Teacher
accreditation involves developing and demonstrating an understanding of the level of knowledge, practice and professional
engagement identified by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Congratulations Mrs Holt.
New Library
After lots of hard work, our new library is almost complete. We are currently waiting on some furniture to arrive, but the
shelves are up, the books are in place, and our students can easily access the books whenever they need them. Best of all,
the cupboards that were being used as computer desks are finally gone. Many thanks to Kath, Megan, Jim and all of the
students for your help.
K-2 Classroom
Miss Renneberg & Miss Schreiber
Our little ones are very much enjoying writing this term and they are getting very good at it! In K-2 the focus is encouraging students to write independently. We don't always get every word correct, but 'having a go' is better than sitting and writing nothing just because we don't know how to spell a word correctly. Our students are really improving on doing this.
Some of the strategies we are encouraged to use in our writing are:
-say the word slowly and write down the sounds that you hear
-clap the syllables in a word to break it down into smaller parts
-does the word sound like a word that you know? You might be able to use a rhyming word to help you.
-is it on a Butterfly card or on our word wall?
-is it in a book that you have read?

Celebrity of the week
James stands proud as our celebrity

mass within the measurement strand in mathematics.
Students completed activities that focussed esti-
mating, measuring, recording and converting be-
tween grams, kilograms and tonnes.

Brought to you by Kaye Care
Welcome to another newsletter. This past few weeks have found Kayecare continuing our safe hygiene practices and positive approach to our everyday learning. The older kids have been focusing on direction, pencil grip, balancing, shapes and colours and spatial awareness, all in preparation for the big school next year which won't be that far away. Our afternoons have found us reflecting on our environment. This week we found baby snails
to study. How exciting to see where their little eyes are! The kids eyes lit up when they actually found them . The kids chased each other's shadows attempting to jump on their feet. Elise said her shadow wouldn't stay still
when she ran away ✨You just love their amazing imagination. We have 10 days to go till mumma duck hatches her babies, this is certainly raising some excitement. Kids are counting down the days on their calendar. Once again we have welcomed some beautiful rain. We collected water in buckets and measured out the mls then discussed why we need the rain and how our precious planet wouldn't survive without it. Kaye asked the kids to contribute to the newsletter with a story of their favourite thing. Here are some of their re-
sponses - Jayden says Spider-Man is my special character cause he has a web in his hand
Elise says my favourite person is Lexie baby cause she stands up now
Kiara says I love chickens they lay eggs I like eggs
David says I love my LuLu she is white and my friend is hoot
Zarli says I love to go to nannies house and sleep in a big bed
Lilly says I like riding my pony Lucy she goes fast Have a wonderful weekend ahead. Take care of each other, be kind to yourselves and stay safe. Until next time,
take care. Kaye
