TIPS & TRICKS:• Out With the Wash: Wash items before you dye them. You’ll want the fabric to be free

of any residue that could interfere with the color. Clean fibers equals vibrant colors!• Cover the Territory: Art can be messy, and that goes double for tie-dye. Prep your

work surface with a plastic covering, and suit up in plastic gloves and an apron.• Read Into It: Don’t dive in without carefully reading the instructions on the dye first.

Technique and prep can vary from brand to brand.

Color Combination Tips: To avoid a muddy

brown color, don’t put these colors together:

• Orange & green• Green & purple• Purple & orange
