Joint Military Medical ManagersCourse Looks for ParticipantsCoordinators for the military’s Joint Operations Medical Managers Course(JOMMC) announced Jan. 7 that spaces are still available for O-4 through

O-6 health care professionals interested inattending the Feb. 27-March 4 training.

The closeout date for applications wasslated for Jan. 6. However, seats are

still available. Commanders areencouraged to send senior

medical providers to this course,which is designed to increaseinteroperability among U.S.medical forces.

JOMMC incorporates lectures andtable-top exercises with role playing

to allow participants a chance to practicetheir training. They also learn how to prepare

and present a formal Joint Task Force surgeon’s brief, essentialinformation for an area commander.

JOMMC is offered twice a year and is open to tri-service active-duty, Reserve and National Guard medical officers, and foreignnational military health care professionals. Qualifyingparticipants are awarded approximately 40 continuingeducation credits upon successful completion of the course.
