What We Learned…
• Management is not just about one person• Working as a team is important• Leadership roles should be divided• Everyone should share ideas and be involved• Organization is key• Be prepared in advance• Be optimistic• Support one another• There is a lot of work involved when planning an
event
What We Learned Continued…
• We believe our ‘Plan B’ turned out better than our ‘Plan A’– Two nights before our event our live music told us
they could not perform on the night of our event– Everything happens for a reason
• Having a DJ improved the overall success of our event– Karaoke was fun for everyone– We were impressed with his DJ skills
What We Did Right…• We worked together to find an alternative plan for the night of our event• Coordinated with the Electric Company• Raised a lot of money for Hailey• Participated in karaoke• Invited many people to come• Worked with local Green Bay businesses:
– Cook’s Corner (fudge/popcorn)– Seroogy’s (chocolates)– Schneider International
What We Did Right Continued…
• Separated Leadership Roles– Kyla = Helped with rootbeer float sales & worked on
the cash register– Mohammad = Created a Facebook event & prepared
food throughout the night– Erin = Made popcorn, sang, and cleaned up– Helene = Worked on the cash register & did
transaction form – Kyle = Got the party started & made food– Jackie = Made posters and donation forms & was in
contact with Hailey’s family and Cook’s Corner
What We Could Have Done Better…
• Passed out more donation forms for Hailey
• Put up posters earlier• Invited more people to come• Have a ‘Plan B’ from the start
