MEMO NO. EDG 2015-005 TO: ALL Student Councils

RE: Discussion of the History of the Office of the Student Regent

Dear fellow student leaders,

Greetings of solidarity!

As mandated by the Codified Rules on the Student Regent Selection (CRSRS)

which was upheld at the General Assembly of Student Councils last January 2015

at the University of the Philippines Cebu, the National Executive Council would

like to remind you to schedule a discussion of the history of the Office of the

Student Regent prior to the system-wide selection of our next Student Regent.

KASAMA sa UP, along with the Office, wishes to tap your student council in

conducting this same event in your respective colleges so that we may be able

to reach the broadest number of audience possible and inform our constituency

with regard to the history of the student movements assertion for student representation. For those units and student councils who have already

conducted this, we encourage you to reach further those students and

formations who had not attended and enjoin them in the process of selecting our

next representative to the Universitys highest policy-making body, the Board of Regents.

Please take note that other student organizations, alliances, and formations may

also request for a discussion anytime before 20 June 2015.
