At theendof theNewMedia course, the14participating studentswereasked totakeasurveyinordertoevaluatetheNewMediacoursetogetherwiththelecturer’smethod, approach and enthusiasm. The evaluation survey was accessible onlineleavingstudentswiththeoptionoftakingitattheirownpaceandintheabsenceofthelecturer.Toavoidbias,studentswereaskedtosubmittheiranswersbeforetheirfinals grades were delivered. 11 out of the total of 14 students took the survey,offeringresponsesfrom78.5%ofthecourseparticipants.

ObservationsandConclusions:Alltheanswersgiventothequestionsaskedareinthehigherpositiverange–fromgoodtoexcellent.Theareasmarkedthestudentsasbeingexcellent(obtainingalsothemajorityvote)were:

Itisconsideredthatcontinuingtointegrateanonlinelivevideoguestlectureandacompany visit in the course provided students with memorable and positiveexamples.Asamatteroffact,boththeNetlogvisitandtheonlineliveguestlecturehadhighlypositivescoresandmentions.Threequalitativequestionswerepartofthesurveyaswell.Theyaimedtodeterminethe areas that students most liked or disliked as well as the elements that theywouldhavewantedthecoursetocover.Evenwiththecoursebeingextendedto8sessions compared to five in previous semesters, some students suggested thecoursetotakeevenlonger.Divisionofteamsintoevensmallergroups(fromthree‐fourmemberstoonlytwo)werealsosuggested.Thepracticalaspectsofthecoursewerementionedasstrongpointsofthecourseandgood learningexperiences.
