General Ledger Posting

TheGeneralLedger(GL)PostingModuleautomatestheprocessofcreatingdual-sidedandmulti-sidedGLentries(debitandcredit)thatarebasedoncashandfinancialtransactionscontainedwithinKyriba.Entriesarealsocreatedfrommonthlyaccrualandamortizationrecordsforfinancialtransactions.Transactionsareeithergeneratedautomaticallybythesystemormanuallybyauser.Fullmulti-currencysupportisprovided.

Generating GL Entries

Kyribautilizespersonalized“If/Then”BooleanlogicrulestoautomaticallyscantransactioncharacteristicsinordertoapplytheappropriateGLaccounts.Thecalculationandcreationofaccrualaccountingentries(fromtheDealmodules)canalsobeautomated,eliminatingmanualinterventionforrepetitive,treasury-relatedjournalentries.Youonlyneedtomanagetheexceptions(e.g.irregularornon-repetitivetransactions).Completesegregationofdutiespermitsyoutodesignateuseraccess,aswellasaudituseradditions/modifications.

Kyriba uses “If/Then” Boolean Logic to apply the proper General Ledger ac-counts to a bank transaction:
