Tech Savvy Students
This week I would like to acknowledge the wonderful job
done by Patrick, Brendan and Lincoln in setting up the sound
system for our assembly each fortnight. The boys have also
been assisting with preparation for the Twilight Markets. Mr
Livio, their mentor, is impressed with their dedication.
Tell them from me parent surveys
A sincere thank you to all our parents that provided feedback
through our annual survey of parents. The information
provided in the reports gives valuable insight into how our
parents think and feel about our school. Students in Years 4-
6 also participate. This feedback is then used in our future
planning and support for students.
NAIDOC Public Speakers
Isabella and Josephine travelled to Dubbo on the weekend to
participate in the State finals. They spent the night at the zoo
and enjoyed learning some Aboriginal dances before
competing on Monday. The competition was very tough,
with the winning students delivering their speech in their
native language. The girls should be commended for their
efforts. I would also like to thank Miss Holly Rose who ran
the competition here in Wagga and travelled to Dubbo with
the girls.
Year 6 Fete and Spring Fling
What a glorious day we had last Thursday, not only was the
weather beautiful but we had our annual Year 6 Fete and K-2
Spring Fling. The fete was a tremendous success with students
enjoying the large variety of stalls run by our Year 6 students.
We had nerf guns, face painting, hairspray, cake stall and
guessing competitions just to name a few. The money raised
goes towards purchasing a gift to donate to the school.
In the evening we held our annual Spring Fling in the hall. Our
K-2 students arrived, the boys looking dapper in their shorts,
shirts and even hats and the girls in their favourite dresses and
outfits, ready for an enjoyable time of dancing and socialising.
The Spring Fling is a culmination of the students hard work in
learning new social dances. As you can see from the photos,
they had a great time.
