By increasing the density of the spheres around the exterior and twisting the center curve to morph the shape.
I deleted a couple of the original components and experimenting with the offset option.
Applied the voronoi component, although it did not quite work effectively, but I was quite interested in this sharp and angled version of the vase, with strangle feelers pushing out.

Being Smooth, sometimes simplicity can be the best alternative.
Cylinders as opposed to spheres - I just increased the radius more than the height and I think the flow and step-like visuals create a sense of dynamism.

WEEK 2 - Manipulating an attractor point and its distance
Taking a few iterations from two different view points, to me, I feel that the plan view changes a lot more over the four iterations. In a few of the images - like the white capture on the following page, you can spot the attractor point at the top of the page which was also helpful to understand why the cylinders where changing in shape. Underneath this image, the golf-ball render was just a little bit of fun, playing around with the rendering plug-in V-ray that one of my friends started teaching me, hopefully I might be able to use it somewhere down the track when I need to create presentation renders!

WEEK 3 - Animating an attractor point, similar to a sun pathway animation

It would be really helpful if this could be animated on a constant loop, so you could notice the slight changes in the following 12 images. I’m really interested in taking data of the sunlight on the particular site and using that to inform design decisions.

WEEK 4 - Mapping a sampled image to a surface
Taking a contour map of the site - CERES and roughly colouring in different levels with similar colours to generate an image to be sampled with circles and mapped on two different surfaces. Due to the image not working very well in the water-colour form, I then inverted and manipulated some of the colours in photoshop so that the image would contrast more when interpolated as a brightness/darkness image sampler exercise.

Firstly sampling the image onto a planar surface was the easy part, manipulating it onto a surface that could move in all the dimensions I found a little more challenging especially getting the points to distribute evenly across the surface, therefore making the image readable. I then moved onto a new surface and changed the control points that generated the second image on this page.

WEEK 5 - Variables, rules & Anemone branching component
I found this other definition of an L-system tree on the Grasshopper help page and changed around the rules written with the F and X variables to create these strange tree-on-tree vector images or shrubbing tangles of trees. Remembering to change the line weight in illustrator can really help make the drawings crisp, I’d like to do more iterations and playing around with the different rules to generate more unique growth.

WEEK 6- prepare a minimum of 6 mesh relaxation iterations using kangaroo 2
Taking inspiration from VOID architecture, the Green Void, a 20 metre-high installation of lycra realises the potential of kangaroo. The digital design is also derived from nature. Using the mesh primitive in rhino, I generated this form relating to my initials CK. I first wanted to create a mesh that could be my initials CK - something to pop on the front cover of my journals but I wasn’t super happy with the out come - I was trying to use the old Kangaroo instead of Kangaroo 2 which didn’t show the mesh only the points for some odd reason (as you can see on the adjacent page with the pink image). With this I still tried to use Kangaroo and came up with the next crazy image of overlapping mesh and lines, although I quite like the triangulated edges. Following on, I made a new simpler mesh with a cylinder and did the follow black mesh’s above just playing with all the different components and anchor points then I had another go with the CK again and another lofter mesh to demonstrate the effect of Kangaroo on the original mesh.
