Drive your business forward into the ASEAN market
Be part of the economically influential ASEAN network The Automechanika brand has an extensive history and is recognised globally. Automechanika Kuala Lumpur (AMKL) is one of 15 worldwide Automechanika shows, with a far-reaching network and considerable resources to highlight the targeted ASEAN market.
The ASEAN network has a strong connection among many countries with different signed free trade agreements, including the recent China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA)1 and Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPPA)2. Thus, an increasing number of large companies are attracted to conduct business with ASEAN countries. Among different ASEAN countries, Malaysia is one of the most lucrative markets in the automotive industry due to its high car parc and high GDP growth. According to the Malaysia Automotive Institute, Malaysia continues to be a strategic hub for the BMW group in Southeast Asia. BMW hopes to increase its annual production capacity to 11,000 cars by 2018 in the region.
