The need for greenery and an urban public space within the context of Hillbrow, such an urban space will active a public building as well as announce a humanising atmosphere within the community. The continuation of Twilight children, onto the public space and using the building as a backdrop to emphasize the key focus which is education and health concerning HIV and Aids.
Through progressive education the children will gain the necessary skills needed to become a successful adult whilst simultaneously giving back to the community as they assist with general activities which maintain the building.
The aims of the Aids health centre is to inspire children in the same sense astronauts do, whilst demolishing the connotation of the aids factor and making the testing and healing process more humanising. This is achieved by the playful elements that define the building from the skin, structure to the landscape.

Melrose Arch Piazza, is an Urban development, which is attached to the existing Melrose Arch Precinct.
The project consists of a super basement of 4 Levels attached to the existing basement, 25000m² of new Re-tail, 30000m² of new Offices including a public Piazza.

Newtown Junction is an urban re-development scheme based in the heart of Johannesburg CBD, which houses:40 000 m² retail spanning over two Ground floor levels,30 000m² single tenant offices & 4 basement parking levels with the refurbished original Potato Sheds structure, which had been carefully documented, and reconstructed by MRA.

The Village is a Mixed used development proposal, com-prising of Retail at Ground level, 3400m² in total with a Residential Component of 206 residential units from First floor to Fifth floor.
The scheme includes an public open space which has been shaped to allow the public through the retail alley from the Existing BRT Route, thus engaging with the established infrastructure
There is also a satellite building which is an office com-ponents, furthering the ideology of ‘Live, Work & Play’.

The angle on oxforDJohannesburg [2013] conceptual stage / dhk architects
The dominant North West facade is fully glazed from desk height, offering ease of furnishing, fine views from within during the day, and transparency when illuminated at night.
In line with sustainable design principals, the raked exoskeleton of aluminium sun screens is integral to the performance of the dynamic facade and the experience of the office space. They protect the highly glazed north western facade from direct sun exposure, to limit heat gain and provide a well lit, yet glare free working environment, while maintaining excellent views of the highly treed urban environment beyond. The light weight support structure includes horizontal gantries for ease of maintenance and cleaning of the extensively glazed external facade.

The Angle on Oxford is a mixed use development. Consisting of a Retail component of 1300m² at street level and an Office component of 26 300m² for one or multiple tenants over 5 levels.
An office extension comprising of an 2 main Office floors with a total floor area of 4000m², on top of 2 levels of parking above the ground floor.
Office component makes use of a unitised facade system with protruding aluminium fins, which both adds depth to the flush glazed facade, as well as breaking the horizontal language of the glazing bands.
The parking levels will be linked by vertical mesh screens, which will house landscaping, thus concealing the parking structure which is visible from the road.

Grano Screed to Fall:Substrate to be composed of one part cement,one part fine sand, two parts coarse sand andone part granite or other approved stoneaggregate which will pass through a 5mmsieve. The residential proposal is for an additional dwelling for a young couple on a small holding site in Ruimsig, Johannesburg.Floating planes of the house will assist with passively cooling the interior, as Ruimsig, is generally a warm, dry suburb. Slender Steel H sections create the structural portal frame, which allow for large glazed opening, connecting the client with nature through views, the main view being the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens to the South West of the site. The client himself is an artist with a passion for the colour red, thus the red feature wall, located to the main entrance road, which in itself creates a portal for the client to engage with the natural environment.
