It is hard to believe that we only have three weeks left of the 2018 school year. The school is
currently busy organising and making preparations for the 2019 school year. As part of this
process, over the next two weeks, all staff will be involved in Planning Days in their 2019 stage
teams. These Planning Days replace the normal Release from Face to Face that staff are entitled to.
Teachers will be working on reviewing and adjusting 2019 yearly overviews, scope and sequences
and teaching and learning programs, organising pre-assessments, organising the handover of 2018
assessment data to the 2019 classroom teachers, organising and purchasing of resources to
support 2019 programs, organising excursions and artworks for the P&C art auction.
Best Start Booking
Parents of 2019 Kindergarten children, please don’t forget to book your
Best Start Interview. There are a number of parents of current students
who have not yet done so and bookings close 10am , Wednesday 19
December.

P&C AGM
The Annual General Meeting of the P&C will be held on tonight at 7pm.
All office bearers must be elected annually. At the AGM, all roles are declared open and anyone may
nominate for a position. This year, a number of roles must be vacated as the incumbent cannot
serve more than three consecutive years, and hence we must have new volunteers for President,
Secretary and two Vice-Presidents for 2019.
2018 Student Talent Show
The auditions will run in weeks 7 and 8, with the performance on Tuesday 18 December during
school time. We appreciated your support in assisting your child to prepare their item, however due
to limited space, this is a children’s only event and we are unable to accommodate a parent
audience. We look forward to seeing the amazing talents on show!
Ethics Teachers Wanted for 2019
Primary Ethics provides the opportunity for NSW public primary
school students who don’t attend scripture classes (SRE) to
participate in philosophical ethics classes. Classes are on
Tuesdays mornings for 30 minutes and teach children how to
approach ethical issues and develop their capacity for
considered moral judgement, which will enable them to respond
more thoughtfully to many of the problems and issues they will
face in their lives.
Volunteer Ethics Teachers are trained to deliver age-appropriate curriculum every week and to use the accompanying learning and teaching materials.
For more information, please contact ethics coordinator Tim Butcher on 0413 490 328 or at [email protected]
