Day Three
• Good Day Everyone,• We hope your holiday was wonderful and that you have recovered
from the tryptophan overload because...• It's time to get together for our 3rd Language Arts Adoption session.• Details: Thursday, December 4th (Yes, this Thursday!) • Starting at 8:00 am (Yes, 8:00 not to be confused by 8:30)• In the basement of the District Services Center (No, not
the TRC) • Stop Time: 4:30 (Yes, it will be a long day but USC doesn't
kick off against Oklahoma until 7) • Breakfast treats will be supplied by the high school group
(Thank you!) • • Some Announcements: We mentioned previously that we would be
able to work in extra time to look over the adoption materials beyond the December 4th date. Due to several reasons (tables have been reserved by other schools and the basement space is needed by other constituents), we must retract that offer. On the upside, however, those adoption materials will be given away to several lucky members of the adoption team at the close of business on Thursday. So, if you are hoping to take one of those kits home, you may not want to drive the Harley but instead bring the Caravan!

Publisher Presentations• What do I need to know about presentation day, December
18, 2008?• You will need to bring your rubrics for the companies selected;
you will edit the rubric with newly acquired information and will be tallied as we did today.
• We start at the TRC promptly at 7:30 a.m. and meet until the decisions are made.
• You will not need to bring any preview instructional materials• We only schedule 30 minutes for lunch and we plan to order in,
please have small dollar amounts of bills to allow for efficient ordering of lunch.
• You will be rotating among the classrooms so you will not be able to get comfortable.
• Parking lot questions will be sent prior to presentations but you may bring additional questions for the publishers.
