Presented on The Workshop:NASA-LCLUC Science Team Joint Meeting with MAIRS, GOFC/GOLD

and SEA START Programs on Land-Cover/Land-Use Change Processes in Monsoon Asia Region

Khon Kaen, Thailand, Jan 12-17, 2009

  • Introduction

Land use and land cover changes -> fundamental phenomena.

In a developing country -> agricultural expansion, forest logging, and industrial development are taking place at the same time, -> the magnitude of this dynamics is very intense.

LCLUC demonstrate a complex response function and very spatially contextual.
