Configuration Data vs. Transaction Data
• Configuration - settings or rules that govern how the system works, how transactional information is processed.– Enterprise level vs. Cache level– One-time setup– Long Term– Catalog data, cache layout, security rules
• Transaction – data that flows through the system, normally associated with a lifecycle– New data frequently generated– Short-term– Incidents, issues, returns, billing

VAS Life Cycle
• VAS – new term that is Value Added Services. For our purposes we can equate that to the Kitting and Dekitting functions.
• Work order is created in ICBS to kit or dekit• Work order is ‘released’ to the floor – kitting batch sheet prints• Item (s) retrieved/gathered to the VAS station. This is a virtual
and/or physical location.• Move tasks are generated and are completed via the scan gun. • VAS activity is performed (items are packed) and confirmed via
the console.• Putaway tasks are generated for the kit or items and completed
via the scan gun
