What is a Rock?
A rock is a solid, naturally occurring
substance made up of one or more types of minerals.

Our planet is made of many types of rocks.
These rocks formed over long periods of time, but all rocks are not formed the
same way.

Rocks are classified, or grouped, based on how they are formed.

There are three major classifications of rocks:
IgneousRocks
SedimentaryRocks
MetamorphicRocks
