Crying
When you cry, are you sad? Or maybe happy? Well I don’t know because it could be either one. Sometimes when something bad happens, like your friend doesn’t let you play with them or isn’t your friend anymore, or maybe you got hurt, like someone hit you or pushed you, that would be a sad cry. But cries can be happy, like if you did the right thing or even out of laughter. Now I want to tell you a story. I used to have a nanny, she lived with us for five years. Luckily she lives in South Africa, so when I visit she comes to where I stay. Once when we were leaving South Africa my mom, nanny and grandma were all crying. It was sad because they had feelings for each other and didn’t want to leave, but they are happy because they’ve had a great time together! Then they got over it and it’s ok. My dad never cries about things like that. Another way you can happy cry is about your life, and if someone compliments you or someone special to you. For example, I had a ballet concert on the weekend and when we were driving there my mom was reading a message that her friend had sent
complimenting me. Tears started slowly dripping down her cheeks (not much) but she still started crying. Even if you happy cry it doesn’t mean you’re smiling. So the next time you cry, think about it, are you smiling or frowning? And are you happy or sad?
