Agency Description Odyssey of the Mind is an international problem solving

program. Public and Private school aged students are given

the opportunity to learn creative problem solving,

individual strengths. Teams of students, under the guidance

of a coach, pool their diverse talents to find innovative

solutions to the annual long-term problems. The problem

solving skills acquired while participating in Odyssey of the

Mind help mold our students to become future leaders of

individuals volunteering to judge and coach students for

competition. After receiving training, our community

volunteers take back strategies that can be implemented into

today’s workplace. Many past participants return to

volunteer with the program because the program had such a

positive impact on their life.

Agency Description Inaugurated in 1992, the MOSI YES! (Youth Enriched by

Science) Team is an intensive multi-year program that

offers volunteer opportunities to underserved minority

youth. Museum staff (part-time, full-time, and adult

Agency Description SERVE is the official volunteer arm for Hillsborough

County Public Schools. We offer exciting opportunities for

high school students to earn community service hours by

tutoring younger pre-kindergarden students in the HCPS

during the summer VPK program. The program is called

VPK Summer Reading Buddies. Tutoring will take place at
