CONGRATULATIONS AND F AREWELL YEAR 6 Last night I attended the Year 6 farewell to congratulate and farewell
our Year 6 students. It was a lovely evening and everyone thoroughly
enjoyed themselves. Congratulations Year 6 and Mrs James on a
fantastic year. I would like to wish all of Year 6 students every success
as they continue their learning journey into high school. Well done and
good luck!
CHRISTMAS CONCERT On Monday, 14
th December we are holding our annual Christmas
Concert at school. Students will perform a number of items and it will be
a terrific opportunity for our parents and friends to join with us in
celebrating another great year. Sausage sandwiches and bacon & egg
rolls will be on sale for dinner for $3 and drinks and ice creams will be
available for purchase from the canteen. Bring your picnic blanket and
join us for a night of fun and carols.

CELEBRATION DAY TUESDAY , 15 TH DECEMBER Our celebration day is fast approaching and we need to finalise numbers for the bus
by Friday of this week. If you haven’t already returned your child’s permission note
and money, please do so as soon as possible. Students are excited to be going to
the movies, having a pizza lunch and water fun afternoon.
LOCHINVAR SCHOOL UNIFORM 2015 It has come to my attention that a number of students have started to wear
bright coloured joggers and inappropriate footwear to school. Our uniform
policy clearly outlines that our school uniform is black footwear. This may be
black leather school shoes or black school joggers. As parents will be looking to purchase new
school shoes during the holiday break, I would remind you that black shoes are the expected
footwear for your child to be considered wearing full school uniform. I appreciate your support in
ensuring that students are dressed every day in full
school uniform as we take great pride in wearing our
uniform at Lochinvar Public School. I have included
some examples of appropriate black footwear.
SCHOOL LEADERS FOR 2016 Congratulations to our newly elected school leaders for 2016. At last week’s Presentation Day
Assembly our new student leadership team for 2016 was announced. Students voted very
carefully to select the students they thought would be the best people for the position.
School Captains: Liam Johnson & Cynthia Gibbs
Vice Captains: Joseph Fletcher & Sasha Lyutenko
Prefects: Logan Williams, Hannah Hazell, Bayden Halson & Niomi Crawley
YEAR 6 RECIPE BOOKS FOR SALE As part of the Year 6 fundraising efforts this year, Year 6 have produced a
recipe book with help from Mrs Clarke. Books are now on sale for $5 and
can be purchased from the office. Don’t miss out! They will make a terrific
Christmas gift.
SEMESTER 2 ACADEMIC REPORTS School reports have been sent home this week. Please check your child’s bag for their report. If
you would like to discuss your child’s report, please contact your child’s class teacher to make a
suitable appointment time.
SCRIPTURE SERVICE WELL ATTENDED We held our final Scripture Service for 2015 last Thursday. All classes had a
role to play in this program and all classes sang or spoke to remind us the
reason for Christmas. We thank Mrs. Slupik and Father Chris for their
continued support of our school and thanks also to the parents that joined us
for this lovely service.
