Summer Demonstration Season has arrived! PhoenixTaekwondocontinuedtheirSummerseasonof public Taekwondo exhibitions at the LadygroveParkPrimarySchoolSummerFete.Wefieldeda100strongdemonstration team,anarmyof students sovast we had to enlarge the central arena bordermanymetres ineverydirection toaccommodateusall! The demonstration included Taekwondo basics,the inevitably popular ball-kicking from our superbLittleDragons,afantasticdancefusionperformancefromouramazingPoomsaedanceteam,theexcitingRed v Blue sparring battle, the awesome kids selfdefence and of course lots of smashing wood!Wereceived so many fantastic reviews and feedback

Phoenix teaches marathon sessions during schools “Get Active” week! Phoenix Taekwondo instructors volunteered their time to spend 2 days inLadygrove Park Primary school on 25-26th June to run Taekwondo tastersessionsforeverysinglepupilattheschoolaspartoftheschool’s“GetActive”weekforchildren. In total, we delivered 14separate taster sessions fromFoundationStage through toYears1to 6 in a back-to-back marathon ofTaekwondo! We received a host ofpositive feedback from the teachers,organisersandchildrenalike!AllChildren
received a specialcompletion certificateonthedayshowingthattheyhadsuccessfullycompletedtheirTaekwondosessionwithPhoenixTaekwondo.WewouldliketosendoutabigthankstoallourPhoenixstudentswhoturnedout,manyin full Taekwondo uniform to help and demonstrate asperfectTaekwondorolemodelsduringeachsession.Two
dayslateronThursday28thJune,PhoenixTaekwondowasback,thistimeattheentrancetotheschoolfieldforthefamily“GetActiveTogether”eventforchildrenandparents.PhoenixTaekwondobroughtouttheirretro“PunchIt”airfilledbag,runninganexcitingcompetitionforthemostkicksperformedin20secondsonthebag. We provided two categories, namely Phoenix Taekwondo students andeveryoneelse.WearereallyproudtoreportthattherecordnumberofkicksonthedayforALLparticipantsandcategoriescamefromPhoenixTaekwondo’sownSamandOlivia(bothpicturedabove)withajointastounding55kicksin20secondseach.Both Sam and Olivia and the other non-Phoenix category winners received theirwinningcertificatesandprizes fromSouthKoreaduringanawardassemblyat theschoolfromtheheadmaster.
