Judiciaries have been using social media as an institutional
mechanism to inform the public about their activities for a
while, but this process has now gained speed during the
current pandemic. This virtual meeting will focus on how some
jurisdictions in the United States use social media to foster
judicial transparency and open justice, as well as community
outreach. For this purpose, this webinar will feature a high-
level panel of judges and members of the judiciary from the
U.S. who will share their techniques and experiences from a
practical point of view, as an example of the potential for the
institutional use of social media by judiciaries.
