1998 ASIA: Designed, organized, and conducted workshop for Government representatives
from Asia on the Asian Regional Workshop on Firearm Regulation for the purposes of
Crime Prevention and Public Safety in New Delhi, India, January 27-31. The five-day
workshop focused mainly on violence and victimization related to misuse of firearms,
transnational aspects of illicit trafficking in firearms, including initiatives relevant to
implementing related information exchange among Member States in Asia.
1997 AMERICAS: Designed, organized, and conducted workshop for Government
representatives from the Americas on the Americas’ Regional Workshop on Firearm
Regulation for the purposes of Crime Prevention and Public Safety in Sao Paulo, Brazil,
December 8-12. The five-day workshop focused mainly on violence and victimization
related to misuse of firearms, transnational aspects of illicit trafficking in firearms,
including initiatives relevant to implementing related information exchange among
Member States in the Americas.
