    In the event of school closures next week we will contact parents electronically by ParentMail. We would askyou not to call the school but to keep an eye on your email and listen to the local radio stations who we will,of course, contact immediately should we need to close.

    The local radio stations who list school closures are;

    Jack FM 106.8.

    In the event of snowy weather please make sure you child is dressed appropriately. It would be useful ifevery child had a change of socks or tights and possibly track suit bottoms to change into should theirclothes become wet. All children should have indoor footwear to change into and preferably wellies or otherweather proof boots for outdoor play.

    We had to put emergency measures in place on Friday 18th January as we were not able to have our nor-mal lunch delivery. We will not be charging for the hot meals served on that day. All payments will be car-ried over for your future use.

The new site should be up and running thismonth, or early February, and we hope it will hold more useful information for parents and visi-tors, including forms for ordering lunches, uniform and for booking school absences as well as anup to date diary and policy information. We will let you know as soon as it goes live.

    P.T.AThe Christmas Fayre raised an amazing 1400 this year which is a record amount. Thank you toall the hard working P.T.A members who organised and ran this event. Headlice

    Cases of head lice have been noted in school.Please check your childs hair today.

    To detect lice easily use the Bug Busting Way: Use your normal shampoo and conditioner

    Wash and condition the hair well, with conditioner still in the hair slot a fine tooth comb intothe hair at the roots.

    Holding the comb tight against the scalp, draw it down the length of the hair

    Rinse the comb in between each stroke to remove any lice and to avoid combing

    the lice back into the hair

    Repeat all over the hair, combing small sections of hair at a time, move onto another sectionof hair after each section is louse free.

    Rinse hair and with the hair still wet, repeat the bug busting combing method

    as before (the combing procedure can be a good time to read with your child).

    Further information can be obtained from the school office.
