Vacation Care Fees

Vacationcarefeesarechargedataflatfeeperdayincludingallexcursionandactivitycosts.TheChildCareBenefit(CCB)andChildCareRebate(CCR)isappliedtoallcostsincurred.Vacationcareischargedat:$45/dayperchildIncludingallexcursion/activitycosts

Priority of Access

Sometimes,theremaybeawaitinglistforchildcareservicesandtoensurethesystemisfair,theAustralianGovernmenthas“PriorityofAccessGuidelines”forallocationofplacesinthesecircumstances.TheguidelinesonlyapplytoChildCareBenefitapprovedchildcare.Theyareusedwhenthereisawaitinglistforachildcareserviceorwhenanumberofparentsareapplyingforalimitednumberofvacantplaces.EveryChildCareBenefitapprovedchildcareservicehastoabidebytheguidelinesandtellyouaboutthemwhenyouenrolyourchildintocare.Priorities:

• FirstPriority:achildatriskofseriousabuseorneglect;• SecondPriority:achildofasingleparentwhosatisfies,orparentswhobothsatisfy,the

work/training/studytestunderSection14ofthe‘ANewTaxSystem(FamilyAssistance)Act1999;

• ThirdPriority:anyotherchild.Withinthesemaincategoriespriorityshouldalsobegiventothefollowingchildren:

• ChildreninAboriginalandTorresStraitIslanderfamilies;• Childreninfamilieswhichincludeadisabledperson;• Childreninfamilieswhichincludeanindividualwhoseadjusttaxableincomedoesnotexceed

thelowerincomethresholdof$43,727for2015-2016,orwhoorwhosepartnerareonincomesupport;

• Childreninfamiliesfromanon-Englishspeakingbackground;• Childreninsociallyisolatedfamilies;and• Childrenofsingleparents.

Our Booking Process

To book a place for vacation care, youmust complete the attached booking forms (along with anenrolment formif this isyour first timeatthecentre)andreturnthesebyFriday25thofNovember2016.Noformswillbeprocesseduntilthisdate.Oncewehaveprocessedformsaccordingtopriorityofaccessguidelines,emailconfirmationswillbesentoutafterWednesday30thofNovember2016.Please note: Bookings are not confirmed until you receive a confirmation email. Your confirmationemailwillincludeafeeestimateanddetailsforpayment.

Payments

Feeswillbedirectdebitedfromeitherabankaccountorcreditcardoncethisinformationisprovidedtothecentre.Pleaseensureyoufilloutadirectdebitregistrationform.Invoices/statementswillbemadeavailableeverytwoweeks.Thesewillbesenthomewithchildren,postedoremailedtofamilies.

Our Program

During the vacation careperiodweoffer two separateprograms forour senior and junior children.Juniorsarethosechildreninkindergartentoyear2andseniorsareyears3-6.Theseniorsprogramwillbe targetedat theolderchildrenandgive themmore independencewhenoutandaboutonexcursions.Somedaystheymaycatchpublictransport(bus,trainorferry)withstafftotheirdestination.Childrenattendingtheseniorexcursionsareallowedtobuysnacks/drinksontheirexcursions(withtheexceptionofdayswherelunchisprovidedortherearenofacilitiesnearby)ortheycanbringalongapacked lunch. Please remember that children attending senior excursionswill need to bring alongtheirmorningteaasweonlyhaveashorttimeforrecessbreaks.

What To Bring
