Hardness: Diamonds are an example of an hard material. What else can you think of? It has to be a solid object and very strong.
Toughness: This is when it can resist breaking. For example A steel frame can support parts of a building.

Fragile materials: Examples of fragile materials are glass and porcelain. They could break very easily if your not careful!

Plasticity: Made from plastic but has elasticity in the plastic. A great example for this is a drinking straw. You can fold and twist the straw that is made of plastic but it would not break.
Some materials have a strong elastic in them and they can return to their original shape, just like a rubber band.
