• Desire to add educational benefits beyond the initial focus of reduced class size that encompasses experiences of Freshman and Sophomores
• Change rate from $610 per semester in junior /senior year to $412.50 per semester
– Current total cost = $2,440
– Proposed total cost = $3,300

• Current DT approved by Board in March 2008, implemented in Fall 2008
– Primary goal of reducing upper-division class sizes
– Mission accomplished!
• Assessment method modified in Spring 2010 to move from “upper division classification” to “upper division eligible”
– Net savings to students = $191,336
