The regular meeting of Troop40 for tonight at the schoolhouse,will be held instead at Scoutmas-ter Martin Thomas' home onOregon avenue this afternoon at.:? o'cloc k. In honor of Boy Scoutweek , which is being celebratedthis week , an exhibit will be ondisplay at the Village Meat mar-ket and several scouts will dem-onstrate camping, outdoor cook-ing, etc., and there will he a dis-play of handicraft. The exhibitwill be judged by the Campingand Activities committee of thoCentral district of the South Suf-folk council.
Explorer Scouts Lowell Thomasand Jack Betts acted as ushersal the Rotary Frolic held at thePatehogue High school Thursdayand Friday.
The local troop plans havingfour boys, Scouts Thomas, Betts,Robert Hinkel and Louis Caban,represent them at the Jamboreeto be held in California next sum-mer. More than 50,000 scouts arescheduled to attend and will latergo to the National Boy ScoutRanch at Philmont , N. M., the en-tire trip taking about six-and-a-half weeks. Scoutmaster Thomasalso plans to attend the Jamboreeas one of the leaders from Suffolkcounty.

INGS, 83, a former resident ofPatehogue, died suddenly at herresidence, at 71 East Third street .New York city, last Thursday.
Born in Ireland, Mrs. Cumm-ings had lived in this vicinity forabout 20 years before moving toNew York city about seven yearsago.
She is survived by two daugh-ters, Mrs. Arthur Tompkirfs ofPatehogue and Mrs. Frank Ro-mano of New York city; twosons, Edwa rd G. Cumming* andJohn T. Cummings, both of NewYork city; eight grandchildrenand 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at1 p. m. Monday at the PcttitFuneral home in Patehogue withthe Rev. Wesley. D. Osborne, pas-tor of the Patehogue Methodistchurch, officiating, and intermentfollowed at Washington MemorialPark cemetery in Coram.
ERNEST H. HILLIGER. 60. otLong Island avenue. Holtsville,died suddenly of a heart attackwhile making a bakery delivery toGarbarino's grocery store on Rail-road avenue, Sayville, last Thurs-day.
Born in Germany, he had beenin this country over 40 years, andfor the past five years had re-sided in Holtsville. He had livedpreviously in Queens. He was aroute salesman for the Continen-tal Baking company.
He is survived by his wife , Mrs.Ixmise Wolf Hilliger; one daugh-ter. Mrs. Frieda Holecek of Win-ter Haven, Fla.; two brothers.Conrad of East Northport , andFritz in Germany, and a sister,Mrs. Hanny Proettel in Germany.
