Responsibilities
Promote Membership Development and diversity Development, implementation and evaluation of
programs intended to recruit new members, retain existing members and recover members
Analysis of membership statistics Support the Senior and Fellow membership program Create new MD products that fits the Region Enhancement & maintenance of the MD Web pages Communicate member feedback to IEEE MD

MD Team Strategy Maintain total membership count at same level as
prior year
Recruit new (not a member previously) higher grade
members above the Section’s total recruitment from
the prior year
Migrating members – those who moved from one
section to another do not qualify
Use SAMIEE for MD analysis in your area and
reaching your membership

Member-Get-a Member Program Member-Get-a-Member rewards current IEEE
members for referring new members to join. Members receive $15 per higher grade
member recruited. $2 per student member recruited
HG members cannot earn awards on students recruited.
Annual max award of $90 per member

Plan for 2010 (Ctnd) Participate in the MD meetings. Work with local Societies to support a
membership desk at their conferences. Make use of the IEEE-USA Membership
Incentive and IEEE membership incentives. Deliver MD Training at every Region Conference
and meeting. Promote Senior Member upgrades. More communications with Section MD Chairs.
