Basic workflow

You only have to downlaod memoQ once. It is important to know that you need to have an internet connection while you are translating as Livewords makes use of a server license.

The Portal is available in multiple languages. In the Job Offer window you can see all details of the job, such as deadline or thetotal number of words. You can also accept and reject a job offer here.

Work files as the files that need to be translated. Under reference files you can find all other files such as style guides or earliertranslations.

automatically synchronise and load

• Otherwise you will have to connect to the server first

• … confirm the translations and save them to the translation memory

The Translation Editor

The translation Editor is basically a table. On the left you can see the source text and you can enter the target text (yourtranslation) on the right.

Segments• MemoQ divides the text into multiple segments

• On the left side you see the source text. On the right you can enter your

translation

Livewords will provide the correct segmentation with the project. This will often be sentence based, but may also be paragraphbased.
