This community center and train station plaza’s curvalinear design allows for maximum circulation through the space. Several water features provide visual interest and help soften the surrounding noise. Patio areas allow for interaction among community members and local commuters while also providing relaxing places to sit and enjoy the space.

This plan is a pedestrian oriented design for the corridor just outside The College of Environment and Design. A curbless road and sidewalk system help encourage slower moving traffic. Terraced grass steps provide a connection to the adjacent Founder’s Garden. A bioswale helps the downward sloping site with stormwater runoff and filtration.

selected plant palette
A diverse plant palette was selected for this campus corridor redesign to provide visual interest and variety to the area. Ornamental grasses and water loving plants were placed in the bioswale area. A few large trees were planted to provide more shade and scale down the large buildings. Several flowering shrubs and trees along with perrenials add color and texture to the space.

This pool resort was inspired by the aesthetic look of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The curvilinear forms along with the lush tropical plantings provide a naturalistic rainforest atmosphere.

This master plan incorporates both the needs of the school and the church while encouraging play, growth and health through distracted exercise. The site is split into three sections to allow for the best overall function. Natural play spaces, rain gardens, vegetable gardens and an arboretum trail help the students to learn about their environment. The recreation area includes a soccer field, tennis courts and a walking track for community memebers. The church has a formal drop off area, a private courtyard and an event space to accomodate the parishioners.
