Scope of the Project
Mise En Scene
This was a small project a start off for the year, we had to pick a photo imagine by a photographer and create the exact imagine in our film. This project I liked because it was different and very interesting I defiantly could see myself doing this again as I enjoyed it the first time.
• 1 minute video
• create the same photo scene in film
• think about an interesting topic and make film interesting.
• Work on the sound main thing

The Photo Booth
The reason I have chosen this picture was because…
• Characteristics • Expression • Group pictures • Memory • Closeness • Fun • Everyday thing •
Taking pictures is something we do in everyday situations, and what goes on around us unnoticed when going through our life. We observe and get observed and when taking pictures we then change into something different from capturing an emotion change of personalities in a split second between camera flashes.

Aim:
I aim to show a fun short film about this picture, I will follow a person starting from the leg and making may way up… this person will be walking to there destination. We don’t know where this person is going but by the looks of it this person seems to be going somewhere important. This person ends up going into a Photo booth and starts taking pictures. I will then start taking pictures of people in this booth (will use green screen) then in the end off this a different person will walk out the photo booth with their picture in their hand satisfied with the picture.
Will need as many people as I can to do this… will be just pictures I’m taking and maybe a little video to show their getting ready to take the picture (showing the change of personality and poses) and then snap picture taken.

The first day back, the whole class was given the brief and was sent to the library to pick a photo of your choice, I had looked at a lot of books and photographs but had liked nothing. I finally saw this book and then decided a film from there. The following week we had to present our idea along with the chosen photo.

In the end I had decide to go with the pen Photo as I could play around with lighting and make it work some how, due to the whether conditions I could not continue with cable cars as I could never get the sunset to look exactly like that. It continued to rain through out the days of given this task so had no choice but to change.
However this pen film was done at home and I tried playing around with the light to try get the exact colour but it never worked out, instead I focused on getting the sheet in the back same at the photo, the exact crease and folds.
I was going for a more victoria back in the days theme, I then set out to buy props for this look. I remember Mike saying “it is a very victoria look” and I was thinking that’s exactly what I was going for.
The story is it starts off with the pen and a lady (sister) picks up the pen and starts to write a letter, on her table while the candle in on. Using sealed wax to seal the letter gave the finished off look.
I think the look I wanted to go for was working well, I tried keeping the light the same as the photo through out the film to make sure I still implement some of the scenes in the film.
