..when we say “church” today…
Then: “Church” = positive, even sublime building-centered word/picture…..
…seared into our psychic.
Now: “Church” =
…the buildings are beautiful
keep the lights onin them,
but costs are so high ….
You can’t:
Heat,
cool,
or re-build them.renovate,
We need to change….
…our thinking.
We need to embrace this new reality….
We need to co-create God’s “new thing”.
How?
The church is in a “Good Friday” season.
We must live into the reality that…
During this “Good Friday” season…
We need to stop whispering, worrying, and mourning.
Good Friday was “good” because of what came after…

New York has launched the nation’s first state-led Pay for Success project, an initiative to train and employ formerly incarcerated individuals. Private sector and foundation investors raised $13.5 million in less than six weeks to fund the initiative. Services will be provided over four years in New York City and Rochester by the Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO).
