2006/2007: Dean of the School of Business, Arab Open University, headquartered in Kuwait.
Overseeing and coordinating the business administration program in seven branches, located in seven Arab countries. Part of my responsibility was to
supervise the Validation Process of the Business Program from the Open University in U.K.
2004/2006: MBA Director, College of Business Administration, Kuwait University. Part of my
responsibility was to receive the AACSB Accreditation for the MBA program in Kuwait University.

Consulting Activities
1. 2010 (Kuwait).“An Assessment of the MBA Program offered by Maastricht
University in Kuwait”. In May, 2010, an expert committee was appointed by the Ministry of
Higher Education (MHE) in the State of Kuwait to critically evaluate the MBA program of
the university to make appropriate recommendations for improvement. The final report was
submitted to MHE.
2. 2006 (Kuwait). “Reorganization the Fine-Art High Institutes (such as Theater and
Music) of the state of Kuwait”. A report was submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education.
3. 2005 (Kuwait).“An Assessment of the MBA Program offered by the Arab Open
University (AOU)”. In December, 2004, an expert committee was appointed by AOU rector
to critically evaluate the MBA program of the university to make appropriate
recommendations for its continuation. The final report was submitted to the rector of AOU.
4. 2004 (Kuwait). "An assessment of the proposed restructuring of the human
recourses function of Kuwait Airways’. A report was submitted directly to the Board of
Directors of Kuwait Airways.
5. 2002/2003 (Kuwait). Developing and formulating a long-term strategy for a proposed
company to be entrusted with the management of the offset program in the state of Kuwait.
This was part of a wider scope project for “Conducting a Feasibility Study for
Establishment of Offset Program Development Company (OPDC)” during 2002/2003.
The Kuwait Consulting & Investment Co. (KCIC) was the major consultant of the project.
The study was financed by and submitted to the Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA).
6. 2001/2006 (Kuwait). Part-time consultant for the Public Authority for Industry
(PAFI) of the State of Kuwait. The main task was to supervise the development and
implementation of the “Kuwaiti Quality Award, KQA”. KQA was awarded to some
distinguished manufacturing plants in the country since then.
7. 1999/2000 (Kuwait). Head of a research team to investigate “Productivity and
Manufacturing Practices in two Kuwaiti industrial sectors: Food Processing and
Refractors” . The study was financed by and submitted to The Public Authority for
Industry (PAFI) of the State of Kuwait, 1999/2000.
8. 1996/1998 (Egypt). The principle researcher and head of a team to study: “Toward an
Egyptian Model for Management during the Twenty First Century". This research
project (# 99) was financed by the Egyptian Academy for Research and Technology
(EART) and conducted by The Management Development Center (MDC), Alexandria
University, 1996-1998.
9. 1998/1999 (Egypt), The principle researcher and head of a team for designing and
implementing a set of Performance indicators for Kuwait Government Agencies. This was
part of the project “Measuring the Performance of Governmental Agencies of the state of
Kuwait" by The Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) with the
support of the UNDP for the Ministry of Planning in Kuwait, 1998/1999.
10. 1995 (Egypt). Working for five months (June - October 1995), with the Canadian
International Development Agency (CIDA), as a Local National Consultant for the Civil
Service Reform (CSR) project in Egypt. This three-years project was designed to enhance the
performance of the Egyptian Civil Service in support of the Egyptian economic private-
sector. The CSR project was financially Supported by the State Ministry for Administrative
Development (SMAD), The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), and
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP). The first two phases included the
Orientation and Workshop stages of the project. My duties during the first two phases,
according to the terms of reference, included providing experience in designing and
Implementing a Workshop on "Civil Service Reform For Private Sector Development"
and in Developing the during the first Two Phases of the CSR project. "One-Stop Shop for
Business” Work Plan. Reviewing the Workshop Presentations and editing the Proceedings
was also conducted, with the Canadian Consultants, as part of my duties.
11. Management Consultant with experience in Privatization Strategies, Productivity &
Quality Improvement Programs, and Inventory Reduction Plans. This included
providing consulting works for several business organizations in Egypt and Kuwait, such as:
designing an inventory control system for a "hospitality" firm, conducting demand forecast
for a housing-projects company, developing a system for measuring productivity and
performance in a hospital, designing a production planning and control system for a textile
firm, and developing a model for measuring productivity of manufacturing public companies
in Egypt.

Training Activities
1. Participating in designing and conducting a comprehensive training program, sponsored by
The Prime Minister of Egypt, in the area of "Strategic Planning in the New Privatization
Era in Egypt". This program was attended by all chairman’s and CEO’s of the Public
Business Sector Enterprises in the country, and continued for three months (summer 1993).
2. Designing and conducting several training programs in the areas of:
