EARN THE MISSOURI STATE ADVANTAGE SCHOLARSHIPTake dual credit courses in high school, apply to
Missouri State, and earn an automatic scholarship
towards your degree. Complete at least 9 Missouri
State dual credit hours, with a cumulative MSU
GPA of 3.25, and be automatically qualified for the
Missouri State Advantage Scholarship when you
enroll as a first-time student. This scholarship is
valued at $1,000. Plus, the Missouri State Advantage
Scholarship can be combined with the Provost,
Deans’, Hutchens/SGA Centennial Leaders, Inclusive
Excellence Recognition Award, and Diversity in
Education scholarships up to a combined annual
value of $3,500. Additionally, it can be combined with
the Boys and Girls State Leadership Awards.

VISIT CAMPUS
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITYJuniors and seniors:
3.0 GPA or higher. Or, 2.5-2.99 GPA, with a recommendation from your principal or guidance counselor.
Sophomores:
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, with a recommendation from your principal or guidance counselor.
Freshmen:
90th percentile or higher on the ACT or SAT, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and provide a signed letter of recommendation from your principal and guidance counselor. You will also need written permission from a parent or legal guardian.
ACT scores and placement tests
Some courses need a minimum ACT or SAT score. Dual credit students must meet the same requirements that on-campus students must meet. All GPA’s mentioned above are on a 4.0 scale.

WHAT IS MISSOURI STATE DUAL CREDIT?Gain a head start on your future when you take college-level courses at your high school. Missouri State’s Dual Credit program allows you to earn high school and college credit at the same time.
WHY ENROLL IN DUAL CREDIT?Save on tuition
Dual credit courses cost $70 per credit hour—60% less than the regular credit hour tuition rate. Plus, there are no textbooks to buy and no supplemental course fees. Most dual credit courses are three credit hours. The total cost for most dual credit classes is $210. The same seated class on campus would cost $735 before the added cost of textbooks and fees.

Missouri State provides the Missouri State Advantage Scholarship to qualifying MSU dual credit students who choose to continue their education at MSU.
