PROFILE
I am a dedicated, hardworking and resilient person with excellent process systems and conceptual skills
that I have acquired over a period of 4 years in the Research, data analysis, Monitoring and Evaluation
and relationship Management. I have worked with different sectors Governmental and Non-
Governmental where I have been part of great teams that get the job done and done well.
I have been able to carry this out at junior and management levels hence developing my interpersonal,
communication, customer care and team work skills which I strongly feel obliged to continue exhibiting.

General Summary:
The data officer shall mentor district medical clerks in proper capture and management of HMIS data
collected from health facilities and communities. They will also provide support to the field office Data
Manager in entry, cleaning and analysis of data captured by the Project MIS.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support and mentor the health facility medical records clerks in the following:
- Recording patient visits and other registration data in appropriate HMIS tools
- Preparing patient files for the clinic day
- Filing all patient files at the end of the clinic
- Filing all laboratory test results and other records in their appropriate files
- Ensuring that the medical records room is orderly and all files accounted for
- Ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy of data captured in the HMIS
- Electronic capture of patient care records
- Timely compilation of the routine HMIS reports
- Ensuring availability of required HMIS tools i.e. registers, forms, guidelines etc
Provide assistance to the Data Manager in the following tasks:
- Perform data abstraction from the HMIS and other sources for project reporting
- Perform routine data entry into the project electronic management information systems
- Ensure completeness, consistency and accuracy of data captured in the project MIS.
- Participate in analysis and interpretation of data

-Maintaining proper source documentation by verifying and clarifying to the data recorded

comparison with what is reported in DHIS2 as well what is portrayed in health facility registers.
-Carry out data checks on submitted data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
-Routine Data Quality Assessments (DQA) both in the field with the health

establish metrics for assessments and ways forward for the gaps

Computer Skills:
I am Very conversant with all computer programs such as Microsoft office applications, Data Analysis
software like SPSS. EPI INFO, STATA and the health Management Information Systems like DHIS2
and HMIS , OS and software installations and data recovery.
I have above entry level skills in accounting software like Quick Books and Tally which I can
incorporate while carrying out financial ,management duties. My experience with Computers has given
me an edge over my counterparts where maintenance and IT support is concerned.
Communication Skills:
I endeavor to keep clients accurately and regularly informed with up to date information and encourage
response and dissent to ideas and issues
I present myself clearly and articulately when speaking with an individual or before a group assuring
that others fully comprehend the intended message
