Line Plot

• One way to show how data are spread out is to use a line plot. A line plot is a diagram that shows the frequency of data on a number line. An “x” is placed above a number on a number line each time that data value occurs.

Cluster: data that appear to group together.

Outliers are separated from the rest of the data

Gap: large space in data.

Range: difference between the highest and the lowest number in the data.
