This manual will explain proper usage procedures for the Electromotive Hot/Cool Service Cart
that will ensure safe and comfortable handling and usage.
For safe use of this product, please read through all the information in this User Guide, including
the warnings, cautions, and instructions, before continuing.
Improper use of this product will cause malfunction or breakage, and may cause accidents.
We will not be liable for any accidents caused by a violation of the instructions or by careless
use.

① External Power Outlet: AC Power Input (Charging, heating/cooling)
② Touch Screen: Hot/Cool control and electromotive control
③ Smart Card: used for granting permission to operate, Information storage for patient meals④ USB: Temperature & Event Data Confirmation,
⑤ Battery Charge: Displays charging status
⑥ Emergency Switch: Stops car during operation in the even of an emer-gency⑦ Front Touch Sensor: When lower speeds are necessary because of risk of danger, applying pressure to the sensor will lower the driving speed
⑧ Power Switch: Used to turn the Touch Screen ON/OFF
Red light: Lights up red when AC power is on
Green light: Lights up green when monitor is on
⑨ Hot/Cool Function Check Light: Lights up when Hot/Cool function is in use, turns off when not in use
⑩ Forward/Reverse Throttle Handle: Pressing the right button drives cart forward,
Pressing the button a little harder will increase forward speed.
Pressing left button drives cart in reverse, pressing a little harder will
increase reverse speed.

Attention! !
• Applying excessive force to the front screen can cause damage, and lead to malfunction.
1. Plug in AC power cable, and check that the Power lamp lights up red.
2. If the AC power cable is not connected, the Power lamp will not come on. However, if you press the power switch with battery charge, the screen will turn on (Electromotive Type).
3. Lightly press the power button, and the green lamp lights up as the screen turns on.

4. When the login screen appears on the display,hold up the Smart Card to the Smart Card panelfor about 2 seconds.
5. It may take about 1 min. to 1 min. 30 sec. to see the login screen.
6. The Smart Card must be within 5cm of the Smart Card panel to recognize and verify.
• Please note that the cart will not function without the Smart Card, so avoid misplacing it

① Hot/Cool button: When button is pressed, Hot/Cool operation is activated.Pressing button again will stop operation.
② Hot Storage Temp: Displays desired temperature for warm storage.
③ Cool Storage Temp: Displays desired temperature for cold storage.
④ Hot Temp Display: Shows internal temperature for Hot compartment.
⑤ Cool Temp Display: Shows internal temperature for Cool compartment.
⑥ External Temp Display : Uses external temperature sensor to measure internal food temperature. Temperature will only be displayed when pressing the red button on the external temperature sensor.
⑦ Save Data : Saves your settings to a USB flash drive in the USB port
⑧ Drive: Pushing this button will switch to Electromotive Driving mode (Electromotive type).

③ Hot/Cool DT Setting: Hot/Cool activates when difference in temp. reaches this value. Default settings: 2( ), 4( )℃ ℉
④Hot/Cool DL Setting: Value indicates length of time before applying set temperature.Default settings are all 0.
⑤Offset Settings: When there is a deviance between desired and actual Hot/Cool tem-peratures, this is used to correct it. (-10~+10) Default settings are all 0.

① Please read through the user’s manual, and learn the proper usage procedures before operat-ing. ② Please check for damage and status of tires before you continue.
- Check tires and wheels for damage before servicing.
- Check Hot/Cool compartments for debris and damage before connecting the AC power cable.
- Do not store food for a long time. This equipment is not designed for long-term storage.

③ Please operate 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving the food. (Preheat before setting food)

④ Check the manual shift lever to see the wheel lock status of the cart before use.
When stopped on a ramp, never activate the manual shift lever or free-drive switch.

⑦ Use the speed control buttons to adjust to an appropriate driving speed.

▶ Storage After Use
① After serving, power off and safely store the cart.
② To maintain performance and prevent discoloration, store at room temperature and humidity.
- If not maintained and stored properly, the cart may rust, or electrical components may get
damaged, resulting in a risk of electric shock.

① To ensure safe operation, please check the conditions of the tires from time to time.
② Once charging is complete, please be sure to unplug the cable to prevent any damage or
strain
to the cable.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands. There is a risk of electric shock.

③ Do not shake, lift, or otherwise apply any excess strain to the cart.
④ When cleaning the cart, use a soft cloth dampened with water (with mild detergent), and let
dry after use. Do not use thinner or benzene, as it may cause discoloration or deformation.

Charge Check
- The cart uses two 12-volt batteries.- Use the charger mounted in the cart to recharge a dead battery.- Do not exchange the cart battery with an automobile battery.
- Using a charger other than the one mounted to the cart may cause overcharging, and may
affect the battery life of the cart.

How to Charge
① Press the Power button to turn off.
② Connect the AC power cable provided with the product to connect it to the front panel.
③ Connect the other end to a power outlet with the right power specifications.
It will take 6-8 hours to charge. (may differ based on remaining battery life)
- Do not charge near areas where there is a risk of fire.
- Do not charge while the battery is frozen. If the battery is cold or frozen, let it thaw for a few
days before charging.
- Do not use manual driving while battery is charging. It may cause damage to the cart or the
AC power cable.

BATTERY AND CHARGING
① Switch off circuit breaker.
② Remove battery cover.
③ Disconnect cables from battery terminals
④ Remove old battery.
⑤ Insert new battery.
⑥ Connect the red cable to the positive (+) battery terminal.
⑦ Connect the black cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
⑧ Put the battery cover back on, and switch on the circuit breaker.

- Battery terminals and other components associated with batteries are made of lead or have
lead-containing water. Please wear safety glasses and gloves when handling batteries.
Please be sure to wash your hands after handling the battery.
- The cart uses a battery that weighs about 12.6Kg. Avoid straining to lift it, as it may cause
bodily injury.

- Switch off the brake circuit when not in use for long periods of time to avoid the battery from
discharging.

Replacing the Battery

BATTERY AND CHARGING
① Is it okay to use a charger from a different manufacturer?
In order to ensure your safety and proper performance, we recommend that
you use the charger that was supplied with your cart.
② How often should the battery be charged?
- If you use the cart every day, please charge each day after use.
- If you don’t use the cart very often, please make sure to charge fully once a month.
- Do not leave the battery in a completely discharged state.
③ Why doesn’t the newly replaced battery work as well
- Please charge battery all the way up to full before using.
- After completely discharging and recharging 5 or 6 times, the battery will reach 100% capacity
and achieve its maximum battery life.
- Until the battery reaches 100% capacity, please use in moderation for about one week.
④ How should I maintain the battery when not using the cart for long periods of time?
- Before storing the cart, charge the battery to full, and switch off the circuit breaker switch.
- We cannot guarantee the performance of a third-party battery.

- Provides a field of view behind cart while driving in
reverse to prevent accidents.
- To drive slowly, or when there is risk of danger, ap-ply a little pressure to the touch sensor to slow down the driving.
• By default, the Front Touch Sensor is configured to set the speed to 10%.
When pressure is applied to the sensor, speed is reduced, and when it is released, the cart will
return to normal driving speed.
(Please check surroundings for hazards and check safety precautions before releasing the sen-
sor in order to minimize risk of crashes and accidents.)

CONVENIENCE

- Press this switch in the case of an emergency, when an obstacle comes into the path of the cart, or any other urgent matter.
- Once you press the button, the cart will come to a sudden stop in about 30cm.
- When you have determined that it is safe to operate and drive again, press the Electromotive Drive button Off and On again to resume.

① The drain case holds any condensation from the freezer or residual drainage from cleaning.
Please open the case and empty the contents.

- Check the circuit breaker attached to
the top cover.
- Check to see that the AC power
cable is plugged in correctly.
Driving not working
- Check to see that the circuit breaker switch is on.
- Check to see that the battery is charged.
- Check to see that the speed button is working
properly.
- Check to see that the lever is
facing down. (up: manual,

Like other vehicles, the cart requires regular maintenance. Here are a few checks that you
can perform. Some may require aid from a professional. Following these steps will allow you
to use the cart for a longer period of time without any serious malfunction.
Brake check
- In Electromotive driving mode, please set the speed setting to 1.
- Until you hear the “click” sound, press the speed control button. Each time you press the
speed control button, you should hear the sound.
- Repeat this process in forward and backward directions, three times each.
Daily Check
- Check the position of the speed control button. When the speed control switch is released, the cart should not lean on one side.- Check each of the features on each of the operating panels.
Weekly Check
- Check condition of your tires.- If your driving feels different, please contact our customer service department.- Please check that the brakes are operational.- Check for abnormal noise from the freezer.- Check for abnormal heat from the Hot/Cool compartments.
