Ethiopia
I have some very exciting news. As many of you know we have
been in Ethiopia since 2008. We have accomplished much including
being registered as an NGO (non-government organization). We have
watched God fight many battles for us as we began an orphanage with
12 children. We began to build our orphanage building on land that
was granted us by the government. We were about half way through
the building process when other religious entities thought we were
building a church building and they picketed the work place and physi-
cally shut us down. Now for more than 5 years we have wrestled with
government and religious entities to show that we are in fact building a
building to house orphans.
Our original cost to complete the first stage of the building was to be $40,000, however, inflation has domi-
nated the country and the original cost has doubled.
In December, 2017 I once again went to the authorities to plead my case and was told that they now realize
that we really are building an orphanage and not a church. I was told that we could now proceed to finish the
building if we could finish it in 2018.
My team in Ethiopia has worked very hard to get this matter settled so by faith I told the officials we would
complete the first phase of the project in 2018. I didn’t have any money but I know that God wants a lighthouse
in this community. There are more that 50,000 people in this area and not a single church within 30 miles of our
facility.
When I came home I told my wife about the situation and we prayed. Then on December 29, 2017 a couple
who we barely knew sent us a check in the mail for $40,000, exactly what we needed to complete the first faze
of our building project. We are so blessed to have such friends as them and you. The building is once again be-
ing worked on as I write this. Pictured below is the building as it has set for the last 5 years.

care about . Stand with us

the Lord each year. We cannot do it
without your support. Thank you in
advance for what you are doing.
Ukraine
Our team in Ukraine stays constantly busy as
they minister to orphans of all ages. They teach
basic skills to many of the children and adults. Vis-
iting handicapped orphanages and adult facilities as
well as orphanages and adult facilities for normal
people. Our team members will visit with them,
listen to them, tell them about the Lord and in gen-
eral just love them. For some of these kids and
adults our team members are the only friends they
have. (Continued on back page)
Kyrgysztan
Hello, my American friends. My family sends their greet-
ings to you and your families.
In ministry we are getting ready for summer camps. Many
of the kids are remembering last summer when we cooked for
them and again this year we will do the same. The children
are all looking forward to this event. Many of my friends
will join me as we prepare not only a meal but a great time of
fellowship, skits, puppets and just making friends with kids
who usually don’t have many adults they can talk to.
Many of the orphanages we visit are huge and it is difficult
for our teams to each pay attention to each child. So we try
each time to talk to different children so no one is offended or
feels left out. We want them all to feel loved and to have ac-
cess to one or all of our team members.
I was talking to one girl at one of our orphanages and asked her how often her mom visits her? She said her
mom always promises to come each week but rarely keeps her promise. The bad thing is that other boys and
girls started telling us the same thing about their mom’s and dad’s. Promising to come but it never happens. It
gave me a great opportunity to share about the one who always keeps His promise.
Last week we were talking to some teenage boys who were about to leave their orphanage and were really
afraid about their future. We told them about a loving God who holds their future in His hands. He gives peace
for their future if they are willing to yield to Him.
I watch our team in action and am so proud of each one as they share God’s love without hesitation.

Russia Teams Our Russia teams continue to minister. Holding meetings at many orphanages, elderly homes, handicapped
places, Tuberculosis hospitals and wherever they can. We are so proud of these teams as they continue to reach out
with the Gospel under extremely adverse conditions. They are planning several events this summer that will impact
the lives of thousands of the very needy in this country that is desperate for revival. Please continue to pray for our
workers and the country in general. Our prayers are being answered so don’t stop praying.

Ukraine (cont.) They are excited when our teams show up. They are
blessed by the presentation of special skits, singers, musi-
cians, speakers and all enjoy the hugs that are brought and
given to all. Our teams do the maximum under extreme cir-
cumstance. They rarely complain and are true ministers of
the Gospel. They take to heart James 1:27, Pure religion and
undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fa-
therless and widows in their affliction, and keep yourself
unspotted from the world.
Computers Computers
I am excited to share with you a wonderful new
ministry we at NHOM are involved with. My former
Pastor Jim Blewett has been involved in a business
called “Resurrection Computers” for many years. He
repairs and rebuilds computers. We sat down together
shortly after he retired and he asked me to see about
helping Pastors in small churches who cannot afford
computers. He would donate rebuilt used computers
to them free of charge. This has been so successful
and the Pastors are thrilled to receive the scripturally
loaded computers.
We have and are sending computers to two African
Nations, to our orphanage in Ethiopia, to two native
Indian Reservations and to some Alaskan Pastors as
well as several local Pastors in the Ministry Network.
We load the computers with sermons, notes and
programs that help develop the ministry for these Pas-
tors and their churches. When I was a young Pastor
someone gave me a Bible program that really helped
me to understand and put to use the information I
needed for many of my sermons. I still use this pro-
gram often.
If you have laptops or desktop computers you
would like to donate, whether working or not, please
contact us. All donations are tax deductible through
NHOM International.
Sri Lanka Please be in prayer with us as we contemplate what our future
will be in Sri Lanka. Since the death of our beloved worker Madhu
we have not found anyone to take her place and it will not be possi-
ble for me to make a trip to Sri Lanka anytime soon.
