PTTMCC Facts & Figures
BioPBS™ Life cycle-From nature to nature
Joint venture of PTT Global Chemical& Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation
PTTMCC is dedicated to produce BioPBS™ with
20,000 Tons
annual capacity, plant based in Rayong
Thailand
BioPBS™ (bio-based polybutylene succinate) is revolutionary in its two-fold bio properties. It is both bio-based and biodegradable plastics, naturally decomposes into biomass, CO
2, H
2O
BioPBS™ has been used in wide range applications: Paper coating, Compounding, Synthetic fiber, Flexible and Barrier packaging
BioPBS™ has exclusive license from Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation Patents.
The world’s 1st
biggest BioPBS™ Plant
BioPBS™ is the only bioplastic with revolutionary in its two-fold bio properties. It is both bio-based and biodegradable plastic, derived from corn and transform into BioPBS™ biopolymer which can be applied into various applications.
When end up either in the open-air landfill or marine environment, it will be gradually broken down into small pieces and becomes H2O, CO2, and Biomass to be used for BioPBS™ feedstock again and again.

Organic Recycling Concept
* BioPBS-based wastes are not intended to be managed apart from official and agreed waste management streams. They just biodegrade faster (few weeks or months) than conventional plastics (decades or centuries), even at ambient temperature. Composting is thus very appropriate to BioPBS Wastes, including BioPBS-based wastes, must be managed properly and according to local regulations.

Environmentally friendly
Over the last decade, the world’s population has dramatically increased, resulting in enormous quantity of plastic waste going into landfills and ocean. The analysis shows that by 2050* there could be more plastics than fish in the ocean by weight! Consequently, we are here to help you in providing outperform bioplastic which is rapidly compostable without facility. As a result there will be less and less plastic leaks into the ocean.
