    The Trump Presidency and the Future of American Jewry� ere is a political crossroads facing the Jewish community. Several issues came together in this election--the rise of antisemitism within mainstream party politics, the growing political polarization over Israel, and the future of U.S. - Israeli relations with the solidi� cation of the rightward shift in Israeli politics. What potential points of reuni� cation can there be for American Jews, even with the contention over Israel, and the need for a political mobilization against antisemitism in domestic politics as we saw in the 1950s?

    Julian E. Zelizer is one of the pioneers in the revival of American political history. He is the Malcolm Forbes Stevenson, Class of 1941 Professor of History and Public A� airs at Princeton University and a fellow at New America. He is the author and editor of 18 books. His most recent publications include � e Fierce Urgency of Now: Lyndon Johnson, Congress, and the Battle for the Great Society and Media Nation: � e Political History of News in Modern America. Zelizer is a regular contributor at CNN where he publishes a popular weekly column and appears on television shows such as Newsroom and New Day. Besides CNN, you can hear him on NPR, C-SPAn and other major outlets. He has published over 700 op-eds. He has received fellowships from the Brookings Institution, the Guggenheim Foundation, the Russell Sage Foundation, and New America.
