Download - NewAge Industries PVC Tubing & Hose Catalog
Although no plastic tubingproduct can universally handle allapplications, the PVC family ofproducts offered by NewAge®Industries covers one of the
widest ranges of applicationsserviced by any one type of
plastic material.
Flexible PVC tubing offersa broad range ofchemical and corrosionresistance, excellentabrasion and wearresistance, rubber-likeflexibility, visual contactwith the flow (availablewith clear styles), andoutstanding flow
characteristics. Thesefeatures, along with
various constructionoptions offered (wire or
braid reinforcement, rigid pipe, unreinforced) and the differentformulations available(antimicrobial, fuel and oil, 3-A,FDA, NSF), make PVC attractive forso many applications. Theseinclude general industrial, food, beverages, pharmaceutical andmedical, chemicals, fuels, oils, andmechanical applicationsincluding protective coveringsand insulation sleeving.
Stocked PVC products aresupplemented with the capabilityto have a product custom madeto fit your exact requirements. Most of NewAge Industries’ PVCtubing can be produced incustom sizes, colors, and shapes, and can be cut, printed, orthermally bonded. ■

■ Open mesh polyester braiding permanently encapsulated in walls of clear, flexible PVC tubing
■ Listed by the National Sanitation Foundation for food equipment materials (NSF-51) and potable water (NSF-61)
■ Raw materials meet California Proposition 65 and are free of DEHPand BPA
■ Non-toxic raw materials conform to USP Class VI and FDA standards
■ Offers far higher pressure capabilities than unreinforced PVC tubing
■ Mirror smooth interior permits outstanding flow characteristics
■ Crystal clear for full visual flow*
■ Corrosion and abrasion resistant with flexibility similar to rubber but with much longer life
■ REACH and RoHS compliant
NotesNYLOBRADE is made from non-toxic
ingredients selected from those sanctionedby the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)for use in food contact applications. Its NSFcertification makes NYLOBRADE a goodchoice for drinking water applications, those involving water at temperatures upto 60°C (140°F), and food processingapplications.
NYLOBRADE is generally unaffected bymost oxidizing and reducing agents.Diluted acids and alkalies have little effect, though if highly concentrated tend to makethe hose less pliable. If chemical resistanceis in question, in-plant tests are suggested.
Gasoline and oils will harden PVC overperiods of intermit tent use. In theseapplications, continuous use will slow thehardening process.
*NYLOBRADE HP (High Pressure) sizes3/8” I.D. and up have a tighter braid patternand therefore reduce the visual flowcontact and increase the hose’s resistanceto bending and flexing. Heavier walls onsimilar I.D.s will be more resistant tokinking.

VARDEX, with its steel wire reinforcementcoil, is specially suited for applications whereresistance to kinking is of primaryimportance. A proprietary constructiontechnique employed during themanufacture of VARDEX permits full vacuumcapabilities (29.9 in./Hg.) for all sizes withouthose collapse.
Constructed of corrosion-resistant PVC,VARDEX can be used to transport variouschemicals in areas with tight turns andsharp bends. Its bend radius isapproximately four times the I.D.
For easy identification, VARDEX isimprinted with the trademarked name.

Notes
NEWFLEX reinforced suction hose iswidely used throughout industry for bothpositive and negative pressure applications. Its advanced design allows the use of light-weight, corrosion-resistant PVC to replacebulkier and heavier ply-wrapped rubberhose.
NEWFLEX series ‘FH’ and ‘FHS’ are clear, allowing the user to have full visual contactwith the flow of material inside. The FoodGrade lines are made from FDA-approvedingredients suitable for food and beveragehandling. The smooth interior is easilysterilized and cleaned. Both types have avacuum rating of 28 in./Hg.
NEWFLEX series ‘VFH’ is produced froma clear FDA core with an industrial gradewhite helix, which is not exposed to thehose I.D. It can handle light-duty pressuredischarge, gravity feed, and moderatevacuum applications.

■ Listed by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF-51)for food equipment materials
■ Antimicrobial ingredient is throughout the tubing, not only on the interior as with other products
■ Transparent for visual flow contact
■ Contains antimicrobial technology to guard againstbacteria such as E. coli, listeria, salmonella, legionella,MRSA, campylobacter and pseudomonas
■ Well suited for food and beverage applications including non-fattyaqueous, milk and alcoholic beverages (below 20% ABV)

NotesCLEARFLO Ag-47 is suitable for a wide
variety of food contact applications anddesigned to protect your food or beverageproduct from harmful bacteria. It’smanufactured from a clear flexible ShoreA74 non-phthalate PVC compound with theaddition of antimicrobial protection. Theantimicrobial technology is especiallyeffective where there is infrequent use offluids in warm or humid conditions and thetubing has no opportunity to drythoroughly between uses.
The antimicrobial properties protect thetubing against organisms that can causegrowth-based discoloration and odors.Testing has proven that the activeingredients neutralize bacteria rapidly, andbecause the ingredients do not dissipatewith use, they can be expected to offerprotection for an extended time undernormal conditions. CLEARFLO Ag-47 offersantibacterial performance toISO 22196:2011.
Unlike some products CLEARFLO Ag-47 is100% protected with the effective additive, which is present throughout the tube andnot only on the interior, offering youprotection on all surfaces. This is especiallyimportant in applications where the tubingis dipped into a fluid.
The active ingredients in CLEARFLO Ag-47will have no detrimental effect on yeastsused for brewing and will have no negativeimpact on the taste or flavor of productspassed through it.

NotesHYTREL-LINED PVC TUBING is designed to offer
the flexibility and durability of PVC tubing with aliner of inert Hytrel, made by DuPont, for additionalresistance to oils, high temperatures and gaspermeability. A patented process molecularlybonds liner and cover to make a virtuallyinseparable product. This cost-saving co-extrusionpermits HYTREL-LINED PVC to be substituted forall-Hytrel tubing in many applications.
The Hytrel polyester liner offers internalresistance to chemical attack, abrasion andcontamination, along with a high degree ofresistivity to the adherence of particulates, makingHYTREL-LINED PVC exceptionally suited for use inair sampling applications.
HYTREL-LINED PVC TUBING’s black PVC coveroffers excellent resistance to abrasion and oils, aswell as ultraviolet exposure. The pliable PVC alsoprovides a degree of shock resistance andinsulates the tubing from electronic interference.
HYTREL-LINED PVC TUBING is made of FDA-sanctioned ingredients for use with food contactsurfaces. The tubing is certified for CFR Title 21Section 177.1550 and CFR Title 21 Section177.2600. It may be subjected to ethylene oxidesterilization processes.

Notes
The non-toxic compound used to manufactureCLEAR-40 is non-conductive and has a U.L. ratingof 94 VO.
Because CLEAR-40 is highly corrosion resistantas well as transparent, it is used extensively inchemical, pharma ceutical, food plants, and inlaboratories and hospitals where visual contactwith the flow is desired.
CLEAR-40 pipe can be used interchangeablywith standard schedule 40 gray or white fittings.Assemblies should be permanently glued usingprimer and solvent cement.
Twenty-foot pipe lengths, bell-shaped pipeends, fittings, and schedule 80 pipe are availablethrough minimum order — call for details.
CLEAR-40 pipe is neither recommended to bethreaded nor recommended for use inapplications involving compressed air or gas.
