The animals have large, heavily padded paws that help them walk on snow.
The lynx has very good eyesight. They can spot prey 75 meters away.
Lynx are hard to spot. They often hide behind tree stumps or rocks when stalking prey.
Lynx are agile jumpers, climbers and swimmers.
The lynx make sounds like a house cat's meows, hisses and purrs.
Newborn lynx come in litters during the spring. They usually spend two years learning to hunt with their mother.
