Shoe Box Appeal

The school has again taken part in the Shoe Box Appeal. Each year,

around Christmas, students and families donate gifts for young people

in a school in Romania. Last week Mr Robson dropped off 30 boxes

which had been collected in school. Gifts included small toys, school

equipment and warm clothing. These gifts will make a big difference

to the lives of the recipients.

Charity Minded

Mr Stafford and Year 9 are preparing for our annual Christmas Party

for the older members of our community. This is always a fantastic

event, bringing together the different generations in the spirit of

celebration. The raffle is always a popular part of the day, and we

welcome any donations for this.

The last day of term is ‘Wear a Christmas Jumper’ day. All staff and

students that take part in this event donate £1 which will go to a local

charity.

Please remember that we finish early on that day.

Mock Exams Our first exam season of the year gets underway on the 9th December, when our Year 11s start their mock exams. The students have been working hard to ensure they are prepared with many attending a variety of revision activities. We have been very impressed with how dedicated the Year 11s have been. This is of course due to the fantastic they support from their teachers and families.

During this exam period, Year 11 will only be in school when they have an exam. Please check your child's exam timetable carefully and ensure that they are in school on time, with the right equipment and in full uniform. Good luck to all those who are sitting exams.
