xtending technical, infrastructural and administrative support for trade development are some of the main functions of UNCTAD (United Nations Conference for Trade and Development). In a special initiative to provide administrative support for trade development UNCTAD in association with APEDA organized four workshops for spreading awareness among stakeholders on Non- Tariff measures.
APEDA is UNCTAD's Tier-I partner in its project on “Role of Standards in the export of agro products and sharing experience on Non-Tariff measures”. Supporting the project, APEDA helped in organizing the workshops in the cities of Hyderabad (Dec. 28th, 07); Delhi ( Jan,1st,07); Mumbai ( Ja n , 1 8 t h , 0 8 ) a n d C o c h i n (Jan, 22nd, 08).
