Newsletters That Are Clean and Catchy With a Modern Design
By: Marina Qutab
What Works/What Doesn’t:
• Clean• Concise – kind of a
choppy cut. • Great color scheme• Simple design • Catchy use of small fonts
and big fonts• Layout. Everything is
centered in the middle which is unique.
What Works/What Doesn’t:
• Clean• Concise • Great color scheme• Simple design, but is it
too simple?• I think they should have
given the Facebook, Twitter, and Website logos at the bottom their original colors. • It would have made
the bottom pop and not look so plain and gray.
What Works/What Doesn’t:
• Color scheme is interesting and catches your eye
• Maybe a little busy but I like the work that went into this
• I love the infographics. They reminded me of our designs with the faces in circular shapes.
What Works/What Doesn’t:
• I like the creativity that went into this newsletter.
• It’s different, it’s modern.• The choice of font is
unique• The graphics are young
and fun• I think they should have
changed the red font to green. The red is a little clashy.
What Works/What Doesn’t:
• I love the page design. How the images fit into each other in an artistic way that catches the reader’s eyes.
• I like the color scheme.• I’d make the heading at
the top in yellow pop more. After all, a title is a title, and it should be pronounced.
• I like the random bullet points that cut into the photo. It is modern and unique.
What Works/What Doesn’t:
• Theme: big title, catchy image. Love it!
• Not too much info thrown at you, so you say to yourself “OK, I can read all of this…”
• Simply colors, but bold. This way it still pops.
• Could have added one more image or two instead of accentuating the brand logos. However I haven’t seen this before so it is different & original.
What Works/What Doesn’t:
• Theme: title/company logo, image below. Love this.
• Even though most of the images in this newsletter are gray, they have a way of popping. I love the elegance that the images bring out of the page too. Modern = WIN.
• This might be my favorite newsletter…
• Look at all of the technique and precision in the formatting.
• Theme: short text, image, short text, image and repeat (pattern).
