Notifications Swipe down from the top of screen
to view your notifications, and swipe up to close the notification window.
To dismiss a notification, swipe sideways to remove it from the list, or press the icon in the top-right corner of the window to dismiss all listed notifications. To open a notification, press it to start the app it's associated with. The notification will be removed from the list automatically.
Quick Settings: Sliding down from the top-
right corner of the screen displays the Quick Settings window, which has shortcuts to your Settings, wireless and airplane-mode options, brightness controls, and other settings

Keyboard & Autocorrect If you'd rather do without the typing
suggestions, open Settings, choose "Language & input" under Personal, press the Quick Settings icon to the right of the entry for your keyboard in the Keyboard & Input Methods list, choose "Auto-correction" under Text Correction, and set the Auto-correction option to Off.

Screenshots To take a screenshot on your new Nexus 7,
hold in the volume down and the power buttons at the same time. After a brief pause, you'll hear an audible noise and see an animation.
Screenshots are automatically saved to your Gallery but you can upload them to email, Dropbox etc.

Organizing Your Apps To remove or move an app, hold your
finger down on the app until the Remove label shows up at the top of the screen
Drag the app to the Remove label if you want to remove it form the screen
Drag the app to the side of the screen to move the app onto another “page”
Drag the app icon onto another app icon to create a folder
Tap the folder once to name the folder or move an app out of the folder
