Nook Introduction
• A brand of electronic-book readers developed by American book retailer Barnes & Noble, based on the Android platform.
• The original Nook includes Wi-Fi and AT&T 3G wireless connectivity, a six-inch E Ink display, and a separate, smaller color touch screen that serves as the primary input device.

Prices and News
• The original device was announced in the United States on 20 October 2009, and was released 30 November 2009 for $259.
• On June 21, 2010 Barnes & Noble reduced the Nook's price to $199 and announced the launch of a new Wi-Fi-only model for $149.
