The total number of enrolled students for the previous semester is 3,018.
II. EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES The College hosted a seminar on Anti-illegal Recruitment & Human Trafficking last November 17
organized by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.
The College hosted the 15th Philippine Society of Agricultural Engineers-Pre-professional Group (PSAE-PPG) Annual Luzon Convention and 1st PSAE Bulacan Chapter Convention with Department of Agriculture (DA) Sec. Proceso J. Alcala, represented by DA Region III Dir. Andrew B. Villacorta, as keynote speaker last December 1-3. Having 15 state colleges/universities as delegates in the three-day convention, the College broke the record for highest number of attendees from 138 to 254.
The College hosted the Info-caravan on Organic Agriculture organized by DA and the Provincial Government of Bulacan (PGB) through its Provincial Agriculture Office last December 6.
Activities pertinent to the iSchools Project under the eQuality Program of the Information &
Communications Technology Office (ICTO) in collaboration with the College were successfully carried out such as:
Memorandum of understanding (MOU) signing last December 6 among the Oracle Academy, ICTO and the College on the Advanced Computer Program wherein students of the College can benefit from the use of the software and the curriculum in the said academy for free during the first year of the MOU’s implementation
Project Closeout 1 for the 2007-Fund Public High School recipients in Central Luzon held at the Maharajah Hotel, City of Angeles, Pampanga last December 5-7
A tree planting activity was conducted by the Administrative Council last December 27 to formally
start the 60-day countdown to the College’s 60th Foundation Anniversary scheduled next February 22-24.
The College bagged the first and second places for the Reserve Officers Training Corps Provincial
Speech Contest held at San Rafael, Bulacan last November 12. On the regional level held at Tarlac City last November 20, the College won second place.
As part of the Bulak Festival organized by the local government of San Ildefonso, the College hosted the Ikatlong Taong Pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Maggugulay ng San Ildefonso last January 20 with Gov. Wilhelmino S. Alvarado as guest of honor. Also present were DA Asst. Sec. Salvador Salacup and San Ildefonso Mayor Paula Carla G. Tan.
Administrative Affairs
The College hosted an activity honoring the White (Executive) House and Administration Building as historical sites last January 22 which is also part of the Bulak Festival. The White House once accommodated former Pres. Manuel L. Quezon and wife Doña Aurora Quezon. The two aurora trees in front of the house are planted by Doña Quezon herself. Built in 1940, the Administration Building on the other hand housed the former Rural Progress Administration. It was later converted to a hospital for guerillas in 1945-1946 and served as the main office of a nearby airport used by American soldiers to unload their ammunitions. Guests were Atty. Neil-san G. Patag representing Vice Pres. Jejomar Binay and DA-Agribusiness Marketing Assistance Service Dir. Leandro H. Gazmin.

Research, Extension & Training
I. AWARDS/ACCREDITATION RECEIVED
The College won the 2011 Civil Service Commission (CSC) National PAGASA Award as Outstanding
Public Officials & Employees (group category) for its Aerobic Rice Research, Development & Extension Program after qualifying as the winner in the regional level. The regional and national awarding ceremonies were held last September 9 at the Heroes’ Hall, San Fernando City, Pampanga and November 9 during CSC’s 111th anniversary at the Malacañan Palace, respectively.
The same program won the 2010 2nd Best Higher Education Institution Research Program (regional
level) given by the Commission on Higher Education.
The College passed the Accreditation as Professional Service Provider by the National ARCCESS Program Coordination Office of the Department of Agrarian Reform.
II. RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT & TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
Varietal Evaluation, On-farm Trials & Seed
Production of Organic Vegetables in Central Luzon in Support to the National Program on Enhancing the Demand among Agriculture, Forestry & Natural Resources (AFNR) & State University/College Graduates; funded by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research & Development (PCARRD); led by the Pampanga Agricultural College; collaborated with the Central Luzon State University (CLSU) Organic vegetable seeds (okra, round and
oblong squash, bitter gourd, pole sitao) were harvested and processed to be used for on-farm trials and seed production.
Yield trials for okra, squash and pole sitao were conducted. Varietal evaluation was conducted for bitter gourd.
Improving Water & Land Productivity through Technology Integration in the Uplands; funded by the DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) A model farm was established at the Beatriz
Farm, Brgy. Calumpang, San Miguel, Bulacan. It has different components such as pigeonpea, okra, ground nut and eggplant for vegetable; pineapple and papaya for orchard; and tilapia and livestock for animal.
Aerobic Rice Production System: Improving Productivity in Water-scarce Areas of Central Luzon; funded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)-Zonal Research Center Four field experimental sites were established in
different locations in Region III namely San Ildefonso, Bulacan; Sta. Ignacia, Tarlac; Abucay, Bataan and Guimba, Nueva Ecija for two cropping seasons. For the first season, crops were already harvested.
Multi-location Test of Farmer-selected &
PhilRice-bred Rice Genotypes for Irrigated Lowland Culture; funded by the Philippine Rice Research Institute (PhilRice) One cropping season was already
completed and the data gathered was submitted to PhilRice.
A field experiment site was established in a Gawad Kalinga (GK) farm at Brgy. Santa Catalinang Bata, San Ildefonso, Bulacan.

III. EXTENSION & TRAINING
Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Project;
collaborated with the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Inc. (GK) Meetings regarding integrated farming systems
and the development program for the five-hectare project site in Angat, Bulacan was held in the College last December 21 and in Angat last November 19 and December 27, respectively, with the College President and project in-charge, and GK founder Antonio P. Meloto Jr. and GK staff present.
Gender & Development Concerns on Auxiliary Services
A seminar-workshop on Gender Fair Education & Legal Mechanism on Anti-violence against Women and Children was conducted at the College last December 2 with 40 senior students as participants.
Enhancing Capabilities of AFNR Students through Science & Technology; funded by PCARRD-Central Luzon Agricultural Resources Research & Development Consortium; led by CLSU
A training manual on Vegetable Production & Entrepreneurship was published.

I. SCHOLARSHIPS Seventy-four (74) grantees of the Cong. Jonjon Mendoza scholarship were given PHP5,500
financial assistance each during the second semester. Five grantees of the BASC scholarship were given PHP2,000 financial assistance each during the
second semester.
II. STUDENT ORGANIZATION ACTIVITIES The Soil Tiller student publication conducted a Basic Journalism Seminar & Workshop last
November 4 with three public/private high schools in Bulacan as participants.
Facility Improvement & Resource Generation
The Samahang Panitik conducted a gift giving activity to the Emaus House (home for the aged) at Malolos City and Bethany House (orphans) at Guiguinto, Bulacan last December 16. They also conducted the same activity at the Bahay Ampunan at Bustos, Bulacan last January 19.
I. CONSTRUCTION
A Multipurpose Hall was constructed at the area between the College Hostel & Cafeteria and the Supt. Victor U. Luis Hall. It was funded with PHP3.5 by the office of Sen. Alan Peter S. Cayetano and inaugurated during the 60th Foundation Anniversary of the College.
II. RENOVATION
The DRT Campus Gymnasium was
renovated through the fund support from the local government unit of DRT.
The area for vermiculture at the Institute of Agriculture campus was added with three plots.
Twenty (20) spans of perimeter fence were constructed at the back of the College Gymnasium with the funding support from the BASC Alumni Association amounting to PHP83,300.
The road in front of the IA Building was concreted.
Fencing of the area in front of the RDC Building is ongoing.
The floor at the Office of the Registrar was tiled.
The comfort room at the College Clinic was renovated.
An office for the Director for Extension & Training was established at the second floor of the RDC Building.
A library for graduate studies was established beside the Office of the IGS Dean.
The floor of the extension office for IA faculty members at the Main Campus was tiled.
A partition was constructed at the IEAT faculty room separating two drawing rooms.
The covered walkway at IEAS was renovated.
III. ACQUISITION A new service vehicle (Toyota Innova G 2.5
Dsl M/T) was acquired which is worth PHP1,068,000.
Nineteen (19) laptops were acquired last November 18 for installation in the Information Technology laboratories of the College amounting to PHP199,500.
The College received a fund support amounting to PHP1.5 M from 3rd District of Bulacan Cong. Joselito R. Mendoza for the renovation of the College Gymnasium.
By the end of the year, the College Library
acquired an additional of 112 different books with varying number of copies each not including paid and free subscriptions.
