BARBERA DEL MONFERRATO SSA 500 No Sulfites Added

 

Varietal:    100%  Barbera    Cutlivation:    Certified  organic  grapes  and  certified  Biodynamic  by  Demeter.    Vineyard:          Grapes  from  the  Novareto  vineyard  from  vines  approximately  10  years  old.    The  sheltered  vineyard  faces  southwest  and  receives  gentle  breezes,  perfectly  suitable  for  the  cultivation  of  Barbera.  The  grapes  can  often  be  harvested  right  into  October,  allowing  for  excellent  ripening  of  the  fruit.    Vinification:  Maceration  with  skins  for  one  week.    No  sulfites  are  added  and  filtration  is  limited  to  preserve  the  character  of  the  grapes.    It  is  aged  in  stainless  steel.    Tasting:    Beautiful  deep  red  color.    Spicy  with  rich  cherry  and  plum  fruit.    Cellar:  2-­‐3  years  maximum,
